Toxic Tort & Environmental

Deutsch, Kerrigan & Stiles, L.L.P. was the Area Liaison Counsel for the Center for Claims Resolution for all their asbestos personal injury cases in Louisiana and Arkansas. By providing quality legal representation in over 500 asbestos personal injury cases in Arkansas, we have demonstrated that although our main office is located in New Orleans, it does not hinder our ability to represent clients throughout the region.

The firm also handles over 13,000 additional asbestos personal injury cases; personal injury cases due to exposure to silica, butadiene, PCBs, pesticides and lead paint, and property damage claims involving some of these substances. As a result, we have expertise in interpretation and application of epidemiological studies, defense of fear and risk of cancer claims, defense of medical causation claims, and extensive contact with medical experts in toxic exposure claims. The firm subscribes to Grateful Med, a medical research library from the National Library of Medicine which provides access to abstracts of the most current medical information on exposure to toxic substances. We also maintain a reference library on epidemiology and expert testimony.

The firm was chosen by the Joint Neutral Defense Initiative steering committee of insurers as one of two Louisiana counsel to defend long term exposure cases.
