Mr. Bergeron is a partner in the firm. After working as a mechanical engineer for Chevron Pipeline Company, concentrating on design, procurement and project management issues on various Gulf of Mexico onshore and offshore oil and gas projects (and attending law school concurrently with his engineering practice), Mr. Bergeron joined Deutsch, Kerrigan & Stiles in 1999. His practice involves all aspects of construction and construction surety law, but particularly design professional malpractice issues.
Mr. Bergeron received a bachelor of science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of New Orleans in 1991 and a law degree from Loyola University in 1998. While in law school, he was a member of the Loyola Law Review.
Mr. Bergeron is active with the American Bar Association's Forum on the Construction Industry, where he serves on the steering committee for Division 10 (Environment and Legislation). He is also a member of the Forum’s standing committees for Membership and Technology.
