David C. Goff is Managing Partner of Deutsch, Kerrigan & Stiles' Gulfport, Mississippi, office. Mr. Goff has nearly twenty years experience practicing law on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He is an experienced litigator, having tried cases in the state and federal courts of Mississippi and before the Mississippi Worker's Compensation Commission, Division of Longshore and Harbor Worker's Compensation, and the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission. Besides general civil and commercial litigation, Mr. Goff's practice focuses on construction, labor and employment, OSHA defense and personal injury defense. He also has a significant practice in property development, land use and zoning. He is an active member of the American Bar Association Labor and Employment Section, Associated General Contractors of Mississippi and Associated Builders and Contractors.
Mr. Goff is a regular speaker in the areas of construction, OSHA defense and compliance, zoning/land use and worker's compensation. Most recently, he was a presenter at the national convention of the Association of General Contractors in Las Vegas.

Mr. Goff regularly represents developers, general contractors, subcontractors and material suppliers in various claims related to the construction industry. He also assists his clients with negotiation of contracts and compliance with local state and federal regulations, as well as engaging in arbitration and mediation of disputes. Mr. Goff represents architects, engineers and contractors in professional liability claims.
OSHA Compliance and Defense
Mr. Goff has a nationwide practice defending employers in the construction and manufacturing industry in the defense of OSHA citations. Mr. Goff's clients include manufacturers, contractors, service companies and material suppliers in Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, Florida, Illinois, Iowa and other states. He also helps his clients with OSHA compliance and VPP.
Labor and Employment
In additional to his OSHA practice, Mr. Goff defends employers in various labor and employment matters, including worker's compensation, discrimination, wrongful termination and compliance with state and federal regulations.
Civil Litigation
Mr. Goff has a long-standing practice in insurance defense and in the defense of business owners in premises liability actions. A significant portion of his practice has been the representation of various gaming entities in the state of Mississippi. His practice also includes the defense of actions in general civil and commercial litigation, including products liability, traffic accidents and serious personal injury.
Zoning, Property Development and Management
Mr. Goff regularly appears before the various city councils and zoning boards throughout Mississippi in zoning matters for his clients. In conjunction with his construction practice, he represents developers and property owners in obtaining zoning amendments, variances and general compliance with local zoning law. He also represents various homeowners and condominium associations in matters including preparation of plan of condominium, covenants, amendments to covenants, assessments and enforcement.
