Diversity

Deutsch, Kerrigan & Stiles believes there is strength in diversity. The firm aggressively pursues the promotion of a work environment in which differences among employees are celebrated, and does not discriminate in any aspect of the employer/employee relationship based on gender, race, religion, or sexual orientation.

To that end, the firm's management has created a Diversity Committee to oversee and coordinate the firm's diversity efforts. Comprised of members of management, partners, associates and staff, the committee is chaired by a Diversity Partner who is accountable to management for implementation of the firm's diversity goals. Recruiting, marketing, civic contributions and our legal practice are all shaped and guided by our commitment to protect and promote diversity in our workplace and beyond.

Women have excelled at Deutsch, Kerrigan & Stiles. The founders of the firm were some of the first attorneys to hire women who would ultimately become their partners and members of management. Today, one-third of DK&S attorneys are women, including over 10% of our equity partners. Female partners have served and serve as department heads, office heads, and members of the Management Committee.

Deutsch, Kerrigan & Stiles actively recruits minority attorneys at both law schools and minority job fairs. We dedicate time and resources to ensure the development and advancement of minority attorneys at our firm. We have also participated in the American Bar Association's "Choose Law" program to encourage minorities to continue with higher education and choose law as a profession.

We believe that our clients receive better legal representation through the efforts of a diverse group of attorneys with different viewpoints, talents, and cultural backgrounds. Our diversity initiative demonstrates our commitment to ensuring our continued strength through diversity.
