DK&S Attorney Moderates ABA Toxic Tort Panel Discussion

April 4, 2008

NEW ORLEANS, LA. – Jennifer S. Kilpatrick will be the moderator of a panel discussion at the 17th Annual Spring CLE Meeting of the Toxic Torts and Environmental Law Committee of the American Bar Association's Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section (TIPS). The topic of the panel will be Ethical Issues Involved in the Discovery of Contaminated Property.

This program is one of many that Kilpatrick has moderated for the American Bar Association.  Past topics have included Litigation Involving Genetically Modified Foods and Post-Disaster Litigation (using Katrina and 9/11 litigation as examples).  In addition to her frequent presentations, she serves on the CLE Board of TIPS.

Kilpatrick, a partner in the New Orleans office of Deutsch, Kerrigan & Stiles, has extensive experience in the realm of toxic tort litigation, and currently serves as co-national coordinating counsel for a manufacturer of textiles, as well as defending that company in Louisiana. She has represented a number of manufacturers and distributors in asbestos and silica litigation in Louisiana in all phases of litigation--including on appeal--and has served as court-appointed defense liaison counsel for defendants in numerous cases.
