Stout and Stewart Speak at Asbestos Conference

New Orleans, LA – A. Wendel Stout III, a partner in the firm's New Orleans office, and Arthur L. Stewart, a partner in the firm's Monroe office, will both be speaking at HarrisMartin's Louisiana Asbestos Litigation Conference in New Orleans on June 24, 2010.
Mr. Stout will be co-presenting on "Louisiana Secondary Exposure Law." He is co-chair of the firm's Toxic Tort & Environmental Department, and his practice includes insurance defense and general litigation in the areas of products liability, toxic torts and maritime personal injury. The defense of long-term latent disease personal injury and death claims involving silicosis or asbestosis currently constitutes the bulk of his practice.
Mr. Stewart will be co-presenting a "Jurisdictional Analysis of the 4th Judicial District Court -- Perspective of the Judge and Liaison Counsel." He has served as court-appointed defense liaison for defendant groups in mass asbestos litigation. In addition to toxic torts, he practices in construction law, civil litigation, insurance defense, and products liability.
